Water is Basic (WIB) is a non-profit that supports water initiatives in South Sudan. Since 2006, they have drilled over 800 water wells. Then their goals shifted in 2020. Women-led teams have repaired thousands of wells and turned clean water “back on” for over 1,000,000 people. WIB’s partner NGO in South Sudan, the Women's Empowerment Solutions Initiative, will carry on the work for decades to come.
